Additional states are planned but are not described as live until their source and response fields are available through the production API.

California contractor information is derived from CSLB records. StateLicense normalizes the source fields into a consistent response model.

Every returned license can include a last_updated timestamp. Treat that value—not a general marketing claim—as the indicator of record freshness.

Source labels and formats are mapped to stable API fields. A missing field is returned as unavailable rather than inferred.

Automated checks should route identity mismatches, adverse status, incomplete records, and high-risk decisions to a qualified reviewer.
